SAADA, in partnership with the University of California, Los Angeles Community Archives Lab, is leading a study assessing the impact of archival representation on Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC)-centered arts organizations.

The project began by conducting a survey of BIPOC-centered arts organizations across the United States as a preliminary exploration of what organizations may be doing to document and preserve their histories and what resources or supports they may need. This report, authored by Dr. Thuy Vo Dang, reflects on the responses from 113 BIPOC-centered arts organizations who took the survey.

This research project has been funded by The Wallace Foundation.
